Located on the banks of the Wimmera River, Horsham is a farming community surrounded by nearby natural attractions. The city is centrally located in the Wimmera region in Western Victoria on the Western Highway, roughly halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne.
The stunning Grampians National Park and the Wartook Valley region are only 30 minutes south-east of Horsham and Mount Arapiles, one of the top rock climbing areas in Australia, is only 20 minutes west of the city. Horsham is renowned for its dynamic and inclusive arts community, ensuring there is always something exciting happening.

The Wimmera Whippets All Abilities Football Netball program began in 2014. The Whippets  play in the FIDA Football League: a program of Australian football for people with an intellectual disability. It has developed an environment that promotes fitness, fun, friendship, and a rare sense of belonging.

Country Care Horsham supports Art Matters by displaying a number of their works in store.

Art Matters is a Horsham Rural City Council (HRCC) arts support program that enables people living with a disability to build individual capacity through participation in a broad range of art projects. It creates a unique set of skills, pathways and opportunities for people to realise their potential through the arts. Art Matters aims to encourage and facilitate high quality and individualised arts experiences that have profile and impact within the broader community context.

The Horsham Fishing Competition is an Annual event held on the banks of the Wimmera River Labour Day weekend each year.
